Search and Rescue Training Mission

Search and Rescue Training Mission

Live Search and Rescue Training Mission – Become a SAR Responder for a day!

Step into the boots of a real Search and Rescue (SAR) responder in this immersive, hands-on experience! Join a live simulated SAR mission led by experienced professionals, where you’ll learn how teams respond to real emergencies in the New Mexico wilderness.

From gearing up to rope rescue demonstrations, delivering medical care, and coordinating team efforts—you’ll take part in the full spectrum of a SAR operation. Whether you’re hauling a litter, using a radio, or searching for the subject, this is your chance to contribute, learn, and feel the part of the team. There may even be a helicopter to end the mission (weather and logistics permitting).

No prior experience is needed—just a sense of adventure and curiosity. You’ll walk away with a deeper appreciation for the dedication, strategy, and grit that defines New Mexico Search and Rescue.
