10 Jun Off Road Adventure at Gallup OHV Motocross Park
Enjoy a fun off-road adventure as a passenger in an off road vehicle at Gallup’s premier Motocross Park. Sitting on miles of trails and diverse beautiful red rock landscapes, you’ll be driven on a diversity of terrains to suit your comfort level. You’ll experience a fun slice of outdoor adventure, only a couple of miles from Red Rock Park. For those that choose, you can also bring your own offroad vehicle of choice. Helmets will be provided.
Meeting Time: Wed. Sept. 10th at 12 PM (Immediately following Conference)
Where to Meet: Gallup Motocross Park (Approx. 3 miles from Red Rock Park)
Located on Hasler Valley Road, this brand-new park opened to the public in November 2010 after ten years of planning and hard work. The facility has a 1.2 mile track and 10 miles of ATV trails. The new park is located on approximately 300 acres of city land that has been designated for OHV use. The park is in northeast Gallup, NM. From I-40, take exit 22 and proceed north to the first signal and turn right on Hasler Valley Road. Continue 1 mile east to the park entrance on the north side of the road.
Tour Leader: Greg Kirk, Red Rock Motorsports Club & Adventure Gallup & Beyond
Actual Tour Time: 1 – 1 ½ hour ride.
Terrain: scenic and rugged outdoor trails, diversity of terrains including pinon sage, edge of mesas, and more.
What to Bring: Long sleeve shirt, jeans or very durable pants, hat, rain coat if needed, sunglasses.
Group Limit: 12
Age Limit: 18 yrs or older
Difficulty Level: Must be physically capable of taking a ride that is bumpy at times. The trail can stay at beginner to intermediate levels, and be more rugged for those that desire.
Special Directions, Safety Restrictions, etc.:Must be physically capable of an adventurous and sometimes bumpy off road journey. Helmets will be provided.
