
25 Jun Journey Into an Amazing Slot Canyon
Prepare to discover the breathtaking beauty of Slot Canyon. This adventure will lead you through narrow passageways, towering walls, and exotic views hidden away in the desert Monument. Located in the Robledo Mountains, Slot Canyon offers a pleasant, short hike meandering into a narrow high canyon sculpted by centuries of wind and water erosion. After a short hike you will enter the other famous slot canyon. As you follow the winding route, catch glimpses of the sky through the towering canyon walls. To access the trail, participants need to climb over a small gate. The hike covers approximately 2.5 miles, mostly flat terrain with some large rocks to traverse.

Terrain: primarily flat, with a few inclines and big steps.
What to Bring: At least 32 oz of water, sun-screen, tennis shoes, hat, bug spray, snacks

- To access the trail, participants will need to climb over a small gate.
- The canyon provides some shade but once out of the canyon there is not much shade so sun protection is crucial.
- No restrooms at the trailhead or along the trail.
- Remember to have a meal before the hike and stay hydrated
