2nd & 3rd Mesa Trail Mountain Bike Ride (Bring Your Own Bike)

2nd & 3rd Mesa Trail Mountain Bike Ride (Bring Your Own Bike)

On this nationally designated recreation trail, this mountain bike trail starts with switchbacks to the top of the mesa and winds through a stunning high desert landscape of juniper, sage, and piñon. The trail includes sections of red and grey sandstone, sculpted by centuries of wind and water. Riders are treated to a seamless flow of singletrack that alternates between gently rolling terrain and fun slickrock sections, offering a perfect balance of speed and technical challenge.

The red sandstone acts like nature’s pavement—grippy, undulating, and endlessly fun—providing traction and control on steep climbs and fast descents. Occasional rock ledges and natural drops keep the ride dynamic, while panoramic views of the surrounding mesas and canyons make for unforgettable photo opportunities; especially during epic desert sunsets.

Perfect for intermediate to advanced riders, this trail blends the fluid rhythm of singletrack with the raw, textured beauty of red rock country—a true desert riding gem.
