10 Jun Pyramid Rock Hike
As Gallup’s flagship trail, this 3 mile round trip route takes you past amazing rock formations to a summit providing breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The trail has way-finding signs that describe the geographic, cultural, and historic aspects of the area.
Total Trip Time: At least 1 ½ – 2 hours
Meeting Time: 12 PM, Sept. 10th (Immediately following Conference)
Where to Meet: Red Rock Park Post Office parking lot (⅓ mile from Red Rock Park – 1st right on road into Red Rock Park from road into park – see site map)
Tour Leader: Bob Rosebrough, Former Mayor of Gallup, founding member of Adventure Gallup, author
Actual Tour Time: 1 ½ hour – 2 hour
Terrain: Moderate terrain that becomes progressively challenging with some steep and rocky. For more experienced hikers, but very manageable for an average fit person.
What to Bring: Water, snacks, sun-screen, boots, hat. Shorts are probably not a good idea. Jeans or very durable pants are better.

Age Limit: 18 yrs or older
Difficulty Level: Moderate
