13 Jun Tethered Hot Air Balloon Flights in Red Rock Canyon
Have you ever dreamed of taking flight in a hot air balloon? Here’s your chance! The Outdoor Economics Conference is excited to be able to offer exhilarating tethered hot air balloon flights that will allow you a brief tethered flight in a full size hot air balloon with the famous NM True icon. Arising from the canyon walls from Red Rock Park, you’ll enjoy stunning views of Church Rock and the painted cliff desert landscapes. With a quick five minute ascension and landing, you’ll have time to enjoy this ride, and then return to the Conference hall to watch the remaining panels. Get your cameras ready!
Total Trip Time Including Travel Time to Meeting Point: (leaving parking lot of Red Rock Park and Tour Completion):
Meeting Time: Sept. 10th at 7:30-9:30 AM (Last morning of Conference)

Actual Tour Time: 5 minute rides
Terrain: Flat terrain at take off with incredible red rock scenery during flight. Landings are normally smooth but may experience bouncy landing weather permitting.
What to Bring: Comfortable clothes with a hat, no open toed shoes or high heels, and a good camera (or cell phone) for pictures 🙂
Group Limit: 40
Age Limit: 6 yrs or older, and able to follow instructions, at least 3 ft tall (to see the views over the basket!)
Difficulty Level: Easy
Special Directions, Safety Restrictions, etc.: Anyone signing up for this tour must be comfortable with heights similar to being up in a tall building looking out. People with bad backs or knees should not sign up as a safety precaution. All attendees must sign a waiver
