Tour Description: The Slide Trail is a Taos County favorite, gradually making the way down the Rio Pueblo gorge to the confluence of the Rio Pueblo and the Rio Grande.  The slide trail offers really incredible vistas, a good amount of exercise yet fine for novice hikers, and the opportunity to see wildlife including bighorn sheep and possibly even river otters! The trail is well-established and is more of a “walk” than a hike, but walking back up from the confluence involves a 600 ft elevation gain so any hiking experience will be beneficial.
