Adventure Pitch is back at the 2024 Outdoor Economics Conference, taking place from September 23-25! We are thrilled to announce that this year, we will compete on the mainstage during day one of the Conference, September 24.
Adventure Pitch is proudly presented by the New Mexico Outdoor Recreation Division in partnership with ActivateNM . The New Mexico Outdoor Recreation Division is dedicated to ensuring that all New Mexicans benefit from the public health, environmental, and economic advantages of sustainable outdoor recreation.
ActivateNM supports both established and aspiring New Mexico founders who are looking to start or grow their businesses. Offering mentorship, events, and resources, ActivateNM empowers entrepreneurs at every stage, from startup to scale-up.
What You’ll Experience
- Prime Day One, stage time, in front of 400+ conference attendees, outdoor enthusiasts, and potential customers.
- Booth at the Outdoor Economics Conference
- Audience of investors, economic developers, peers, customers, and more
- 5 minute pitches with slides from 5 amazing startups
- 3 minutes of questions from the judges
- Judges are a combination of investors, economic developers, outdoor professionals, and successful entrepreneurs.
- One pitcher from each company will get free access to the entire Outdoor Economics Conference (September 23-25th) and one hotel room for the evening of Monday, September 23rd.
- If you stay for the rest of the conference you are responsible for coordinating a room for additional nights. Any additional company representatives will be responsible for conference registration fees and hotel stays.
Eligibility:
- For-profit companies
- Core offering that touches outdoor recreation, the environment, or health and wellness
- Headquartered in New Mexico
- Less than $500,000 in revenue during 2023
Pitch Judging Criteria:
- Team
- What is your team’s industry knowledge, unique skills, key relationships, and prior success and/or failures?
- Market and High-growth potential
- Do you have a clearly defined target market? How will you scale and grow your markets over the next few years?
- Product
- What is it? What is its unique value proposition?
- Traction
- How have you validated your customers and market? How well are you gaining customers and revenue and by what metrics?
- Competitive Advantage / Differentiation
- Why will you succeed? How is your product/company different and better? What is your unfair or sustainable advantage?
Prizes:
- 1st Place: $10,000
- 2nd Place: $3,000
- 3rd Place: $2,000
